BAE Systems, through its Swedish business unit BAE Systems Hägglunds, has awarded a contract for final assembly and integration of the successful CV90 combat vehicle to the Norwegian company CHSnor. The contract covers deliveries of the CV90 vehicle as a replacement for the Swedish Armed Forces.
CHSnor has previously been engaged in the assembly and integration of CV90 vehicles during the combined new production and mid-life upgrade programme of the Norwegian CV90 fleet between 2012 and 2018. Vehicles produced under the newly signed contract will be delivered between 2026 and 2029.
Peter Sedin, Director of Operations at BAE Systems Hägglunds, states:
– CHSnor has a proven track record as a reliable partner for CV90 assembly and integration work. The contract with CHSnor is fully aligned with our strategy to increase production volumes through industrial cooperation and partnerships across the Nordic region. Given the strong market interest in CV90, we will continue to grow through partnerships.”
Harald Sunde, Chairman of the Board of CHSnor, says:
– This is an important contract for CHSnor, awarded in competition with international companies, and it establishes CHSnor as a partner to BAE Systems Hägglunds also for deliveries outside Norway. This project confirms CHSnor as an industrial centre of competence in Norway for combat vehicles. The potential for further growth in our cooperation with BAE Systems Hägglunds is significant.
